Montreal with the shawl for the final time before it is wrapped in the box.
Happy birthday and merry christmas. :0))
Tuesday, December 19, 2006
I kept repeating to Donkoi that there is no gift for him this year.
*he.he.he.*
so.
This is your birthday gift, Donkoi.
{collected from Jackie 20th of Dec.}
Donkoi lost his car key and he is back on Tuesday. Saturday, December 16, 2006
I can't go to collect the shawl.
On Wednesday, Jackie told me that I need to stuff the dangling strings that join two colour sections together into the respective colour area. Tuesday, December 12, 2006
Hard to understand, right?
{Refer to the following picture.}
Get myself another tool to accomplish this task that day.
Luckily, it is not expensive.
I am really broke by knitting this.
It was difficult for me to do it at first.
People says this scenario as learning curve.
After struggling Wednesday and Thursday, I can do it while watching Prison Break.
I had it done on Friday night. :0)
The next step is to wash it.
Of course, with Jackie help.
I passed it to her just now.
She said I can go to collect from her by Tuesday.
I'm so ahead of schedule. Cool. :0))
Yesterday, I was so sick. Sunday, December 10, 2006
I can't function properly.
My brain shuts down itself.
I left office by 1130am.
I slept through whole day.
Reached office early today, but I was still under wheather.
I think the medicine was slowing down my operation. *sob-sob*
"Voila! Voila! Voila!" or "Eureka!"
I need to finish my knitting today as Thursday is off day for Jackie.
I still need to "tidy" up my knitting.
What is the tidy up about?! *Blurry face*

147cm.
I am going to knit 10 rows of black.
By then, it should be ready.
Sick. Sick. Sick.
Where is my immune system?!
Good progress today with uncomfortable throat irritation. Friday, December 08, 2006
Waited Donkoi to accompany me to clinic.
Starwalk tomorrow.
Should I go?
I want to go!
Aki and friends went together to visit Khai Ting in Queensbay Mall. Thursday, December 07, 2006
No knitting again.
I am going to be sick again, I predict.
Teambuilding today. Sunday, December 03, 2006
Donkoi is in Penang today as he is ill.
Doctor advised him to stay away from the cold chamber.
Dentist visit.
Felt uncomfortable at night.
No knitting again.
This week's progress is not as positive as I expected it would be.
Donkoi wasn't away until Wednesday morning.
I had only knitted during a short period on Wednesday. :((
Saturday, December 02, 2006
First trip to Queensbay mall.
No knitting today.
Shopped long long hours.
I'm happy. Donkoi is happy.
Tired now. Going to sleep.
Woke up 8:00am automatically. Sunday, November 26, 2006
May be because I slept real early yesterday night.
{Watching Guessx3 from brother.}
First progress picture at morning.
Yeah, it's getting longer. Obvious.
It's 99cm...
100! 100! 100! 50cm more. :-)
{I tried to push myself to the limit in the sense of knitting speed.}
{I can knit 6 rows in one hour without watching series.}
{But, I get tired fast.}
{Not a good strategy in long run.}
Getting nearer to the target.
It is 110.
150-110=40
Says I knit 3 rows in one hour.
Then 40/3 = 13.33 hours
Says I continously knit 2 hour per day.
Then 13.33/2 = 6.665 day
So, I will need roughly 7 days. *Tsk*
wink-wink.
La-la-la song.
Fell asleep yesterday night without keeping my knitting stuff in the cupboard. Saturday, November 25, 2006
As the first thing Donkoi got back on Sunday morning is to come and visit me, the whole plan about to get exposed.
Phew~** just in time.
Under wheather with flu. Wednesday, November 22, 2006
Jackie fixed it for me.
As predicted, the 15 rows of black is gone with 5 rows there.
Tears are streaming in my heart.
Tomorrow is bowling tournament.
Have to sleep early.
Can't I make it?!
Aja-aja fighting. Go go jia you.
Sure, I can!!!
I missed a loop while knitting and watching series. Monday, November 20, 2006
Worst thing is I don't know how to fix it.
I had scrapped at least 8 rows to get back to that missing loop.
sad. sad. sad.
down. down. down.
There goes my 3 hours of work.
I am supposed to have 3.33 cm done everyday.
{one row is about 0.5cm.}
Shop is closed tomorrow.
No help from Jackie.
I have to wait till Friday to obtain help to get back to the missing loop.
Expecting to scrap more rows in order to get the piece right again.
{I don't want a hole on the shawl.}
Feeling sick now.
Am I going to get fever soon?! :-(((

Watching Korean Drama, Gong while knitting.
A drama full of love.
I fell for the prince, of course.
Normal phenomena while watching Korean drama.
Their fashion is just simply great, even their man are really into wearing nice pieces.
I had experienced it last year in Korea.
Thus, I wish I am in Korea sometimes.
Then, I would not have the worries of wearing boots just to go shopping.
Most of all, I can fetch myself some cool jackets to walk on the street. :-)
Shawl's progress is not bad.
Managed to get 30 rows of blue and 20 rows of white by staying up late everyday.
Now, going to knit 30 rows of black.
Speed has improved a lot.
I manage to get 3 rows (to-and-fro is counted as one row) done in one hour while watching series.
Saturday, November 11, 2006
Carnival day is over.
I was drenched out that day.
Spent the whole Saturday doing sushi and then half of the Sunday selling sushi and tempura.
Managed to do the knitting more and more.
The blue session is almost done! Yes!
Friday night. Wednesday, November 08, 2006
Finished watching the Yummy black forest now.
Wah, it is 30cm long. 120cm to go!
Have to go and sleep now.
Going to do shopping the next morning. Bon Nuit!
Sunday, November 05, 2006
Stayed up to knit until 2am everyday since Sunday.
I had calculated.
With my speed now, I had to knit 3.33cm each day in order to make it before Christmas.
Keep my fingers crossing that I can make it. :-)
Shop is going to be closed tomorrow.
Decided to add one more colour to the shawl.
Rushed to buy a blue cotton ball before my bowling practise with my colleague at Sunshine Square.
{Another RM35. Expensive.}
Donkoi is working for night shift now. Friday, November 03, 2006
He had to work even on Saturday night.
That means I have a lot a lot of freedom and time to knit. Yippie!
Sitting in the house to knit throughout the weekend.
Great progress, I would say.
{I had selected Montreal to be the spokeperson for this knitting blog.*wink-wink*}
Now, it is 6 o'clock on the Sunday morning.
Donkoi is coming home soon...
Can't wait to see him after a long one week!
Went to see Jackie's today to change from white colour to black again. Wednesday, November 01, 2006
I: How long I have to knit?
Jackie: Around 150cm.
I: Oh!...
Wednesday, October 25, 2006
Have a great hang-outs with a few friends.
Winding back all the university good times. Oh, holiday ain't enough!
Tired after I came back though with a day off.
No much progress for my shawl then.
Only managed to get the 10 rows of white part done. >_<
Met Jinni in the shop. Surprise.
Jinni: What happened to you? You got married?
{Why is it so strange for my age to start knitting?! Is it just because I don't look like someone that can sit still and do art work?}

Thursday, October 12, 2006
The lady boss asked me to choose the colour for my shawl.
I followed Percy's advice.
I: Black and white.
{Lady boss aka Jackie (learnt out her name after spending one whole afternoon in her shop) search around her nicely-arranged shelves to obtain two balls of cotton for me.}
Then, Jackie showed me how to knit and let me practising for one hour.
I was so slow.
Half of row for one whole hour.
After an hour, she took over and scrapped all off from my needle.
Jackie: Now, starts to do it for your shawl.
Knitting it slowly and had to refer to her occasionally.
Around 6pm, I thought it is enough for the day.
I went home and continued knitting and started watching Cantonese Series - Yummy Black Forest.
Walking in Spring Haberbashery to check whether there is a class provided to learn knitting.
Lady boss: Let's choose what you want to knit first.
[Showing me a stack of knitting books.]
{Staring at the books, flipping a few, blinded by the choices in front}
I: I am a beginner. Thus, I just want to knit a simple scarf. Anything is suitable for me?
Lady boss: Then, do you have any of the knitting needles at home?
I: Not sure. I will go home and check.
{Recalled Auntie Siew Kee knitting her own clothes occasionally. In addition, I know I will knit just this once, for you.}
Lady boss: Why don't you go home and check it out first?
I: Sure. I will come back later.
{Leaving. Suddenly, duration of knitting one?}
I: How long would it take to knit one scarf?
Lady boss: Depends. If you are fast, may be it would take 5 days.
I: Oh, okey. Bye.
